Amber Jackson Memorial Fund Established
Amber Jackson was reported missing on June 24, 2010. Her body was discovered by a hunter in a wooded area on the island of Kauai. The Kauai Police Department announced on July 7 that they are investigating her death as a homicide.
It is hard to understand the tragic and senseless death of our colleague. In our work as advocates, we are always ready to mobilize and respond to a call for action. It has been a difficult time for us to take appropriate, meaningful action with so many unknown facts.
Therefore, HSTA has established a memorial fund in honor of our friend and colleague Amber Ellis Jackson.
Gifts* in her name will be kindly accepted.
Checks can be made out to "HSTA Amber Jackson Memorial Fund" and dropped off or mailed to the Oahu HSTA office.
