Teaching & Learning Conference
Teaching & Learning 2014 Conference Comes to DC
It is with pleasure that NEA announces the new Teaching & Learning Conference, scheduled for March 14-15, 2014, at the Washington Convention Center in DC. NEA is a leading sponsor of Teaching & Learning (T&L) 2014, as well as a partner in the creation of this event, which is being presented by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
Teaching & Learning is a conference for the entire profession: teachers, education support personnel, administrators, school board members, and policy makers. We meet as separate entities throughout the year, but in the interest of our students and in the interest of our profession, there must be a time when we all come together. T&L is that time!
T&L provides some of the most unique speakers and plenary sessions anywhere. There aren’t many conferences where educators get to hear from Doris Kearns Goodwin, Bobby McFerrin, Tony Wagner, and Arne Duncan. Then there are education’s leading lights: Linda Darling-Hammond, Deborah Ball, Pedro Noguera, Andy Hargreaves, Michael Fullan, Charlotte Danielson, Steve Spangler, Karen Cator, Angela Duckworth, Pasi Sahlberg, and dozens of others.
All of the pre-conference workshops are free to anyone registered for the conference, and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis through online registration. As a result of the sponsorship, NEA receives a limited number of complimentary registrations and can offer NEA Members a registration valued at $325. However, attendees are responsible for their travel expenses, including airfare, hotel, and meals. Go here for more information about the conference and to get the complimentary registration code.
