Four Spring 2016, 3-credit, online, PD courses aimed to help teachers improve the literacy skills of ELLs.  The courses are offered free via PDE3 and focus on reading in math and science, science report writing, and using technology to improve literacy in all subject areas.  Notably, the POWER 8 Writing in Science for ELL course is based on our TeenACE for Science program which received a national award in March 2015!  Read about it here: https://coe.hawaii.edu/about/news/2015/03/coe-center-disability-studies-project-wins-national-award

The ELL-ACE and NB-ELL Projects with the UH COE have been providing free PD courses on improving the literacy skills of ELL students since 2007 via two 5-year U.S. D.O.E. grants.  NB-ELL is now in its 5th year. Take advantage of this free, online, opportunity before the grant funding ends.
