Webinar: How to Support Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals & Undocumented Students
Webinar for Educators
What’s DACA? How Does It Impact Me as a Practitioner? How Does it Impact My Students?
More than half a million young people have taken advantage of DACA, a program that allows them to stay in the U.S. without fear of being deported. Many more are eligible to apply but need help to complete the process. DACA, created by President Obama in June of 2012, offers young people born abroad but raised here a way to stay in the US and pursue their dreams of giving back to the country they call home. Educators across the country may be asked for help by their students and their families. This webinar is designed to educate NEA members about ways they can help and provide information that every educator should know.
Please join two of the nation’s foremost advocates for DREAMERS and experts on DACA for a webinar for educators who want to help students through the DACA process. Join us online on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 5:00PM PST / 8:00PM EST for this special program.
