November 4, 2014 - Election Evening Get-Together
On Tuesday, November 4, 2014, we will have a campaign get together for Ige and the other candidates who are welcome at Walter Kunitake’s roasting facility on Mamalahoa Hwy., across from what used to be Fuku-bonsai. Heading South on Kuakini Hwy., turn left past Tanaka quarry where the Ige signs and banner are posted; turn left onto Mamalahoa Hwy toward Dept. of Water Supply. The roasting facility is on your left. If you google, Department of Water Supply Kona, you can look at the map and know that the facility is shortly before that, heading North on Mamalahoa Hwy. This facility has tables, chairs and etc. We will open it at 6:00 p.m.and will be there earlier to set it up. Help is appreciated.
Admission is a pot luck dish or drinks. If you can let us know what you are bringing, that would be great.
Thanks to Walter Kunitake for his generosity in opening up this facility to us and for providing water and coffee! Also, thanks to Frankie Pang, ILWU representative, for lending us his TV for the evening!
Mike Matsukawa has generously offered to arrange for Mahalo stickers to post on our banners and signs and will distribute that night. Mahalo, Mike!
