Wil Okabe:  Statement on BOD Decision

“There has been a lot of buzz about our Board’s decision to redo the voting process in our statewide election. First and foremost I need to say that I stand with the Board of Directors. They carefully examined all the evidence and made a very courageous decision: the decision to be fair.

Our board of directors are elected to make decisions on behalf of the 13,000 Association members. In as such they take their roles very seriously and act with great care and integrity. We are committed to fairness and the principle of one person, one vote.

To say they acted without integrity is false and demeaning.

Our board acted with legal counsel and within our Association Bylaws. We stand by our decision and will see the process through to the end.”
