He’s at it again!

This year, Daryl’s journey is to paddle canoe and walk the island of Kauai.  He left Hilo yesterday and was presented with a certificate and acknowledgement by Kauai’s County Council.  Today he did a radio interview, met with the Mayor and was presented a proclamation naming today as OSMD Hawaii Day on Kauai.

In addition, Hawaii DOE CAS, Bill Arakaki, has been in touch with Daryl’s organization, too!  Arakaki has asked schools to support Daryl on his journey.  His mission is to visit each school (public, charter, private) along his walk and currently has arrangements made with 16 schools to speak about Muscular Dystrophy and OSMD’s “Eh!, No Push!!!” No Bully Program.

“Operation Paddle and Walk for Dreams—Kauai Island 2015” begins on January 17, 2015.
Daryl is bringing his message of hope and standing against bullying to Kauai.  His feat will take him on a more than 100-mile trip around the Garden Island which comprise of 78 miles of walking and up to 32 miles of paddling along the Na Pali Coast.  He will begin his walk at Barking Sands.
