Read Across America

Celebrate Read Across America in March

NEA’s Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading each March, normally around March 2, the birthday of the beloved Dr. Seuss.

Every year, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers across the country will bring together kids and adults to celebrate the joys of reading.

NEA has plenty of resources for activities, booklists, and more to help organize a Read Across America event in your school or classroom.
