Applications are now being accepted for a program that paves the way for teachers to bring more leadership experience to the classroom.
Educational Leadership in the Asia-Pacific Region (EdLeads) is a 30-credit hour program offered by the University of Hawaii at Manoa's College of Education.
It is designed to meet the needs of educators who wish to enroll in a program of graduate studies leading to the M.Ed. degree in Educational Foundations.
The program can be pursued without career interruption through a combination of online work and on-campus classes concentrated over two consecutive summer terms that last five weeks each. The entire program may be completed in less than 15 months.
EdLeads emphasizes exploration of educational issues from cultural, philosophical, historical, and international perspectives. It embraces the idea of professional leadership for teachers and other educators; students learn from each other in a vibrant community that invites intellectual stimulation and social interaction.
*Tuition and associated costs will vary based on the rates applicable in the year the program starts.
The deadline to apply is March 1 and on-campus classes begin this summer.
