Free workshops aim to help members on road to homeownership

Sessions on Oahu, Hawaii Island, and Kauai provided by Hawaii HomeOwnership Center

Interested in purchasing a home, but don't know if you have the resources? The Hawaii State Teachers Association is partnering with the Hawaii HomeOwnership Center (HHOC) to provide informational workshops for members on Oahu, Kona and Kauai.

"The First Steps to Homeownership" workshop will walk members through the process of planning for a down payment, while "There's No Place Like Home" will provide a general orientation that covers the ABCs of homeownership for first-time buyers.

Oahu

Workshop: The First Steps to Homeownership

  • State of Hawaii Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC)
  • HHOC Mortgage Down Payment and Closing Cost (Deferred Payment Loan)
  • PENFED Dream Makers Grant
