Schools across Oahu are encouraged to participate in the 2019 Keiki Rainbow Run.

The event is set for Saturday, March 16, at the University of Hawaii at Manoa's Clarence T.C. Ching Field.

This fun, educational and healthy fundraiser is open to keiki 12 and under and their families, and will feature an untimed, 1.2-mile run.

The program begins at 7:15 a.m. and the run starts at 8 a.m.

For every keiki registration, $15 will be donated to your school to support physical education and nutrition programs. Little runners, ages 1 to 4, earn $10 for schools.

Early bird keiki registration is $15 by Feb. 22. Regular keiki registration is $25 between Feb. 23 and March 8. Registration for adults, kupuna and little runners is $10.

All runners receive an event T-shirt, healthy snack, and access to post-run activities.

This event is organized by Kahoomiki along with various non-profit organizations, community groups, private companies, and schools dedicated to encouraging nutrition and active lifestyles. It aligns with Hawaii State Department of Education wellness guidelines and the Blue Zones Project's school guidelines.
