The Hawaii State Teachers Association's Honolulu Chapter is organizing HSTAyCATION, a series of events over summer break that allows members to relax and connect through health and wellness activities.

Our first event, called "Roll Your Pain Away," takes place Monday, June 17. Anthony Chrisco, a personal trainer and fitness professional, will show us how to relieve tension and aches through soft-tissue therapy.

That's not all! We are currently coordinating yoga and qigong sessions, as well as hikes and other fun outings.

Here's how you can sign up:

For Honolulu Chapter members

Honolulu Chapter members are encouraged to join HSTA's group on Meetup, a free social networking site that allows you to connect with groups, events, and meetings near you. Here, you'll be the first to view and reserve your spot for HSTAyCATION events and interact with fellow members.

Joining is easy! Simply go online or download the Meetup app and create your profile. Once you're logged in, search for HSTAyCATION, and request to join our group. You'll need to answer a few questions about your perspective on the union and our contractual rights. There are no right or wrong answers, however you must include your first and last name so we can verify your membership.

If you have any questions about Meetup, check out the help page here.

For all members

Events that are not filled to capacity will open to all members through our Facebook page. Click on the Events tab to view and RSVP to any of our upcoming HSTAyCATION activities.

NOTE: Since these events are organized by our Honolulu Chapter, they will all take place on Oahu. Neighbor island members are welcome to join any of these events if they are on Oahu and available to participate.

Space for certain events is limited, so be sure to like our page and follow our updates!
