Free airline trips, discounts and freebies for educators
Updated: May 8, 2026
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4 to 8, and we want to extend a heartfelt mahalo for all that you do each day. Your passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to your students help create the classrooms, schools, and communities our keiki truly deserve.
We typically include a small gift as a token of our appreciation. However, when this year’s items arrived, we found that the printing did not meet our quality standards. Rather than send members something that falls short, we’ve chosen to have the items reprinted to ensure the gift meets our standards and reflects our appreciation for you. As a result, there will be a delay in delivery, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.
In the meantime, we’re excited to share a special offer just for you. Along with your gift, you’ll receive access to an exclusive offer from Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines. As a token of our appreciation, HSTA is offering you 20% off an upcoming flight for up to six people on Alaska or Hawaiian Airlines.*
Each recipient will receive a unique, individual code printed on their Mahalo card, included with their gift. Please keep an eye out for it when your package is delivered.
Tickets must be purchased between June 1 to 15, 2026, for travel during the following periods:
- June 1 – Aug. 27
- Sept. 9 – Oct. 15
- Dec. 17 – Jan. 6
- March 11 – March 30
Visit alaskaair.com/hsta for complete terms and conditions.
*Restrictions and blackout dates apply.
Thank you again for everything you do. We appreciate your patience, and we look forward to getting your gift to you soon.

Three members won round-trip airfare from Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines
HSTA partnered with Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines to give away two round-trip airline tickets to three lucky members.
- HSTA Central Chapter member Sherri Tiitii, who is a teacher at Radford High, said she’d like to travel to Colorado to see her son.
- Jordan “Pono” Kalipi of HSTA’s Hilo Chapter is a teacher at Nā Wai Ola Public Charter School. He looks forward to visiting family in Las Vegas.
- Rebecca Hadley-Schlosser is an elementary school teacher at Nānāikapono Elementary and a proud HSTA Leeward Chapter member. When asked where she’d like to travel, she told us Washington and Arizona to visit family.
Mahalo to all those who entered and congrats again to the winners!
