The Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association is seeking applicants for a negotiations and research specialist position on Oʻahu. This 12-month, full-time role supports the union’s collective bargaining and advocacy work through research, data analysis, and strategic recommendations.
The specialist will research issues related to collective bargaining, provide data analyses and present recommendations to help advance the union’s mission and strategic goals. The position requires an effective communicator who is a self-starter, able to work independently, and to manage time-sensitive deadlines while exercising sound judgment and initiative.
Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree and at least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in labor relations and collective bargaining. Expert knowledge of the collective bargaining process and Hawaiʻi public-sector law is also required. The starting salary for the position is $87,007.
