Registration opens for HSTA National Board Candidate Support Cohorts

Take the next step in your professional growth by joining a Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association National Board Candidate Support Cohort.

Registration is now open for 2024–2025 cohorts, a free benefit for HSTA members to better navigate the National Board certification process, strengthen instructional skills, build professional networks, and enhance their classroom impact. Cohorts will meet five times throughout the 2024–2025 school year.

Participants benefit from the expertise of National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs) who lead the monthly cohort meetings. These sessions provide step-by-step support in completing the certification process and foster a collaborative environment to share ideas and best practices, receive targeted feedback, refine teaching strategies, and gather evidence for certification success.

Whether you’re refining your teaching portfolio or navigating the complexities of National Board standards, joining a cohort provides you with the tools and confidence to succeed. Take the next step toward certification and elevate public education for Hawaiʻi keiki.

Please note, cohort participants must have a deep understanding of National Board standards, component requirements, timelines, and scoring through self study. Prior participation in HSTA’s Jump Start program is recommended.
