A new Sheltered Instruction Qualification (SIQ) pathway is available for Hawaiʻi educators from October 2026 through May 2027, offering up to 90 non-seat hours and substitute funding for participants. The flexible program helps teachers earn or complete their SIQ requirements through Learnsoft courses, approved professional development options and free micro-credentials available to HSTA members.
