HSTA VP Logan Okita to serve as teacher standards board member
The Hawaiʻi State Senate voted Tuesday to confirm the nomination of Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association Vice President Logan Okita to the Hawai'i Teacher Standards Board.
Okita becomes VP after concluding service as secretary-treasurer
Logan Okita became vice president of the Hawaii State Teachers Association on July 5, bringing her experience as an elementary school teacher and various leadership roles within the HSTA to her new position.
Logan Okita is HSTA’s 2016 STACY Award winner
Logan is a first grade teacher at Nimitz Elementary School. Celebrating her tenth year in the public schools, she is also an HSTA board member and served on the negotiations team last year.
