On Tuesday, Princess R. Moss, a 30-year elementary music teacher and longtime union leader, assumed the role of president of the National Education Association (NEA). Moss was elected at the 105th Representative Assembly (RA) in Denver this past July.

Over 40 Hawaiʻi State Teachers Association chapter leaders gathered earlier this week at HSTA headquarters for a two-day immersive training on building union power for the 2025-26 school year.
