This year’s recipient is Daphna Ehrenhalt, a fifth-grade inclusion teacher at Keaʻau Elementary School on Hawaiʻi Island.

The Hawaii State Teachers Association named Zachary Morita, a music teacher at Niu Valley Middle School, as its 2022 S.T.A.C.Y. Award for Teaching Excellence recipient.

Kauai teacher Michael Kline wins 2017 HSTA teaching excellence award
Kline is a special education preschool teacher who chairs the Special Education Department at Kilauea Elementary. “I love these kids and feel honored to be their first teacher in a school setting,” Kline said.
Logan Okita is HSTA’s 2016 STACY Award winner
Logan is a first grade teacher at Nimitz Elementary School. Celebrating her tenth year in the public schools, she is also an HSTA board member and served on the negotiations team last year.
