Learn new leadership skills, meet like-minded teacher leaders, earn a stipend

$40,000 in grant money available until Oct. 31

This week, the Arizona Education Association's initiative (INVESTinED) to fully fund public schools in Arizona was knocked off the ballot in unprecedented fashion by the state’s Supreme Court.

Each Farmer’s policy is being transferred from Farmers Insurance Hawaii, Inc. (FIHI) underwriting company to 21st Century Insurance Company (21CI). 
 
 

Here are some answers to commonly asked storm-related employment questions. 

Teachers, parents, students and staff can go to the Hawaii public schools website to read storm-related information and get the latest updated lists of any schools that may be closed.

"Public schools are at the heart of our community, because they are the sites where we cultivate our hopes and dreams about the future, and we are running for office because the Legislature is a place where the common good can be furthered," said Amy Perruso, winner of the primary race to represent Wahiawa and Whitmore Village in the state House.​

All teachers, librarians and counselors serving at least half time in a Hawaii Department of Education or Charter school are required to hold a valid license or “Emergency Hire” permit.

The state offers a scholarship stipend opportunity for emergency hire teachers, substitute teachers, and educational assistants on all islands at a secondary school with a bachelor’s degree.
