The coronavirus pandemic has taken a heavy financial toll on many Hawaii families, our members included. With all that is going on, bills still need to be paid, groceries purchased, and basic needs met. Many individuals and families may also experience changes to employment that can affect household income.
The HSTA BOD is concerned that the demand for emergency loans by members during the coronavirus pandemic will exceed our financial ability to meet our members’ needs in an equitable manner.
Members must explain their situation in detail as part of a request for the loan and show that they are in an emergency situation.
