Students and teachers worldwide are invited to watch and take part as Perseverance, a car-sized rover, finally lands on Mars. NASA has created a STEM Toolkit, known as the #CountdowntoMars, to engage students and educators in the weeks leading up to the rover’s landing.

The Astronaut Lacy Veach Day of Discovery takes place Saturday, Oct. 24, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the annual event will be held virtually this year with a lineup of keynote speeches and workshops, a scavenger hunt, and the chance to be invited on virtual live field trips in November and December.
