The National Education Association just unveiled its newly redesigned website, NEA.org, and with a new look comes some exciting features for members.
The NEA has been working to update and consolidate its professional learning resources. You no longer need several bookmarks to find high-quality professional learning opportunities.
From the NEA’s main page, simply look in the sidebar under Professional Excellence > Professional Learning, then click on Professional Learning Resources. This interactive webpage describes professional trainings, webinars, and 17 programs currently curated by NEA and available to any NEA affiliate, including Hawaii State Teachers Association members.
The resources are searchable by professional practice topic and can be sorted by a variety of parameters, including target audience and delivery method.
You can also find information on five cohort learning programs administered by the NEA Center for Great Public Schools and a few highlighted micro-credentials. (A full list of the micro-credentials is available through the NEA’s Certification Bank.)
The Professional Learning Resources page also features affiliate-created trainings that any affiliate can access and use. Initial offerings include:
Alabama Education Association
Delaware State Education Association
Illinois Education Association
